PYTHEAS Technology develops also a non-rotating hydrokinetic turbine generating electricity from the setting in vibration of piezoelectric elements by sea currents or rivers.

This system makes it possible to generate electricity even from weak currents (from 0.8m/s), making relevant sites where the currents are too low for conventional hydrokinetic turbines.
